Darren Hayman's personal guide to the old classic Cafés of Great Britain. (with a heavy bias towards London and the South East).

A brief run through of Cafes I didn't have space for on other pages, so in order of pictures to the right here.
1 and 2. Divalls Terminus Road, Brighton - Very scruffy green cafe, took my friend Andy who is a vegetarian here, the night before he came with me to a ukulele night wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt, he doesn't like to fit in.
3. Me stuffing my face in the Goodfayre on Parkway in Camden. A bit busy and they hurry you up, a good cafe is somewhere you can spend a good hour on one cup of tea, don't hurry me!
4. Jimmys on Mark house Road Walthamstow. Not particularly classic but its near to my house and they do Thai food as well!
5. Cafe Rviera in Newbiggen, if you want to see some film of this place it features in the video for Caravan Song click here. A wonderful collection of ancient coin machines here.
6, 7 and 8. A lot of people rave about the Regency. Its round the back of the Tate Britain, I found it a bit shouty, the exterior is worth a look at though.
Special mention must be made to the
D'ambrosia Milk Bar in Tunbridge Wells, now sadly defunct. It was the place that started this obsession of mine and took my breath away, now sadly gone and I'm kicking myself for not taking photos.
